The following items are among those scheduled for consideration by the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) at the Tuesday, December 16, Agenda Conference:
ITEM 4: Docket No. 080278-TL – Joint Petition for show cause proceedings against Verizon Florida LLC for apparent violation of Rule 25-4.070, F.A.C., Customer Trouble Reports, and impose fines, by the Office of the Attorney General, Citizens of the State of Florida, and AARP. The Commission will address a staff recommendation on the joint petition requesting the Commission to direct Verizon to show cause why it should not be fined for the apparent rule violation.
ITEM 9: Docket No. 070432-EI – Petition for authority to use deferral accounting and for creation of a regulatory asset for prudently incurred preconstruction costs associated with development of a clean coal project, by Florida Power & Light Company. The Commission will consider a staff recommendation addressing FPL’s petition for recovery of a portion of the preconstruction costs associated with the Glades Power Park.
ITEM 10: Docket No. 080001-EI – Fuel and purchased power cost recovery clause with generating performance incentive factor. The Commission will consider a staff recommendation which addresses recovery of the replacement fuel costs involved with a 2006 incident at Turkey Point Unit 3.
ITEM 14: Docket No. 080006-WS – Water and wastewater industry annual reestablishment of authorized range of returns on common equity for water and wastewater utilities pursuant to Section 367.081(4) (f), F.S. The Commission will consider a staff recommendation addressing a leverage formula to be used in calculating a reasonable range of returns on equity for water and wastewater utilities.
