The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) will conduct a hearing beginning Monday, April 13, to review the reasonableness of coal costs for Progress Energy Florida, Inc.'s (Progress) Crystal River Units 4 and 5 (CR4 and CR5). The hearing provides the utility and interested parties with the opportunity to present testimony and other evidence for the record.
Under review in this proceeding are Progress’s coal procurement activities for CR4 and CR5 for the years 2006 and 2007. The hearing is scheduled to last three days, but could end early. Hearing dates, times, and location are below.
