The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) will conduct a customer meeting on April 29, 2009, for customers of Placid Lakes Utilities, Inc. (Placid Lakes). The utility provides service to approximately 1,959 water customers in Highlands County and has applied for an increase in rates. Placid Lakes’ last rate case was in 2001.
The meeting allows customers to comment on the proposed rates and any quality-of-service issues relevant to the utility. Customers are invited to attend the meeting at the following time and location:
